Flow Conference

The fourth Flow Conference will be held from Nov 1st – 3rd at the University of Texas, Austin.

The Flow Conference is hosted by the graduate students and faculty of the Radio-Television-Film department at the University of Texas at Austin. The conference is a series of roundtable discussions with topics created by Flow columnists, organized around the future of television and media culture and scholarship.

Mia Consalvo will present on gaming capitol, which is what he wrote about in her book on cheating.  The Flow conference has a cool setup- people submit not full papers but short ‘position papers’ on a topic in advance.  They are all read ahead of time and use the conference session to discuss things rather than just hear presentations.
