Game Jam developers present and demo games: Thursday Feb 14, 2013

This Thursday a number of Game Jam developers will be presenting and demoing the games they developed for the Global Game Jam at the TAG 5a7 Symposium.

Among other games, you will be able to come see:

Minotaur

Four heroes enter, only one can escape with the most loot! But beware, the Minotaur doesn’t like it when people steal his gold… Grab gold! Don’t die! Escape before dawn!

V.A.L.A.S

Join expedition vehicle V.A.L.A.S on a journey deep into the unexplored depths of the seven seas! Danger! Excitement! Sonar waves! And a lot of water! A lot of it. You’ve been warned. (V.A.L.A.S stands for “Very Ambitious Little Appraisal Sub”) WEAR HEADPHONES WHEN PLAYING AND MAKE SURE THE VOLUME’S CRANKED UP HIGH ENOUGH!

Roshambo

“Roshambo” is born as a remodeling of well-known kids’ game Rock-Paper-Scissors. The hands’
play was redesigned into a joyful point-and-shoot game, where the player has to hit the
opponent by choosing its weak counterpart. As in the hands game, if the player mismatches his
throw, he’s the one to be smashed. The worldwide tradition of this game is translated in the
retro graphics/theme and scores/sound effects.

Le detective Blanchard et Les mystères d’Oc

“Le detective Blanchard et Les mystères d’Oc” is a short prototype on narrative and game
progression. On this fast adventure game the player must navigate through mysterious scenes,
listen to directives and solve some riddles in order to get to the answer of the quest presented.
The graphics and scores enrich the fantastic realism hints the game offers to the player.

Teponaztli

A two-players asymmetric game based on 2D platformers, in which players
must cooperate and obey to retrieve balls hidden in the level… until
one of them betrays the other.
