November 28 5a7 Symposium – Wii (U) Party

So since the last 5a7 kind of turned into this anyway, I thought we should be official about it and have ourselves a little Wii (U) testing Party. As far as I know there’s only one game in the lab for Wii U (Nintendo Land) so far so if we get truly frustrated and/or bored we can move on to the regular old Wii games. Also if you haven’t already you might want to check out Bart’s blog post on the subject.

No you do not have to bring Wiimote-shaped cookies or Nintendo merchandise, but you should BYOB. Also if you have access through Concordia or another university and want to read more then check out this article on the “sneaky rhetoric” of Wii-themed parties.

Where: Technoculture, Art, and Games (TAG)/Hex Game Lab, EV 11.425, Corner of Guy and St. Catherine O.
When: Wednesday, November 28, 5pm-7pm
Who: Anyone is welcome, please feel free to bring friends or colleagues who might be interested.
What: Wii (U) Party!

On a more serious note, I’d really like to get some more volunteers for next semester who can help “supervise” some of the 5a7s and write blog posts/emails. Not that I don’t love 5a7s, but it would be nice not to be on duty every night. I’m going to try to put together a calendar tomorrow so if you want to help out please come! Also feel free to suggest something for the next 5a7 (you can email me at ckjong @ mta.ca). I’m kind of running out of ideas.
