KM3 and TAG present: Place des Alts

Posted by Gina

August 30 @ 8:00 am – October 15 @ 5:00 pm

Presented as part of KM3, an art walk through the Quartier des Spectacles, a team from TAG has created Place des Alts, an immersive and narrative experience.

With the help of the interactive audio guide, participants will dive into a captivating mix of realistic and dreamlike stories. The narrative unfolds according to choices the players make. To experience the adventure, spectators need to wander around Place des Festivals with their cell phones and decode a series of visual puzzles that move the story forward. Allow yourselves to dream: participate!

To dive into the experience on-site, visit www.placedesalts.com on your cell phone and plug in your headphones. Available in French, English or a text version for the hearing impaired.

Place des Alts was created by Lynn Hughes, Gina Hara, Tony Higuchi, Eileen Holowka and Will Robinson. You can experience Place des Alts at the Place des Festivals, located at Jeanne Mance St. and Ste.-Catherine St., from August 30 to October 15.

KM3 is presented by the Quartier des Spectacles thanks to a funding gift from the Quebec Government on the occasion of Montreal’s 375th anniversary. KM3 welcomes the public to experience immersive and interactive public art projects on display throughout the Quartier, accessible free of charge.
