Global Game Jam 2012 at ConU

Thanks to the efforts of TAG and Hexagram students and staff, TAG was proud to be able to help Concordia serve a Montreal host site for the Global Game Jam from Jan 27-29, 2012. This is the first time Concordia has been registered for this international event that brings together students and developers from all over the world to create games together over the course of 48 hours.

The Montreal Game Jam is the Montreal chapter for the Global Game Jam. This event encourages participants from all over the world to create a video game prototype based on a theme over the course of a weekend. It’s more than 6500 participants in 44 countries giving body and soul to complete their objectives.

The organization of the Montreal Game Jam is the union of multiple universities from Montreal (ETS through Conjure, Concordia through IGDA Concordia and UQAT) whose mandate is to promote Montreal’s video game industry.
