Research & Creation

SOLA

SOLA is a video game that embodies the climate of tension, discomfort and fear that can be experienced while walking alone at night in cities where gender-based violence is embedded in everyday life.

SOLA is part of Agustina Isidori’s research-creation work that engages with difficult knowledge such as gender-based violence, paying special attention to the extreme case of feminicide in Latin and Central America. Gender-based violence is a endemic problem that is found in the private as much as the public sphere. In Latin and Central America, this phenomenon is partly due to organized crime, corruption and state impunity.
