Okay so I need the design folks to advise here. I am slowly starting to think about the graduate level game studies course for the Winter term at Concordia and I know we want students of all stripes to play with game design as part of the curriculum.
There seems to be a whole flurry of tools available (including non-digital ones that we’ve experimented with) but what about messing with stuff for kids. I just noticed Kodo available for $5 on Xbox live… for non-programmers, non-designer students in social sciences and humanities would an assignment to design a game in Kodo make any sense? What other options might be good for thinking about something like a 4 week turnaround time?
