The room is filled with projectors, tents, blankets, dizzying images across screens, sensor-filled rubber gloves and sleeping computer stations waiting for hand gestures to bring them to life. It’s August 14th and the participants of Critical Hit 2014 have been hard at work for ten straight weeks, implementing novel game design ideas and experimenting with physical gaming interfaces. TAG’s summer game incubator has completed this year’s program!
IT IS TIME TO CELEBRATE!
Please join us for a unique playtest party on August 14th at the fab space of Google Montreal! This summer, sixteen extremely talented people made one game per week for four straight weeks, each time joining a new team, each time with a new theme. They were then asked to pick just one game to further develop over the remainder of the summer.
Six games were chosen —but which ones?
On August 14th, Critical Hit will showcase the final games, collaborations between a diverse group of multi-talented game makers. Concordia University’s President, Alan Shepard, will open the evening with a few words and Manveer Heir, Senior Designer at Bioware, will be treating us to a talk on diversity and the fight for inclusivity in games. Join Critical Hit and their special guest speakers for an evening of discussion and play at Google Montreal.
