Posted by Gina

Concordia University is hosting the 2018 Society for Animation Studies Conference, which is also the 30th anniversary of the organization, dedicated to the study of animation, June 18-21, 2018.

The Society for Animation Studies Annual Conference is the largest annual gathering of animation scholars and makers, and includes a number of fantastic screenings from Montreal-based and international animators. All are welcome to attend!

There will be some wonderful animation filmmakers and scholars in attendance, including a number who work at the intersection of experimental animation, animation and disability studies, histories of film and animation, anime, digital culture, animation and labour, and gaming. There will also have special screenings and panel sessions dedicated to Indigenous animation.

Attendees are asked to register, but all events are open to the community.

Come, attend, and participate!
