Happy New Year, friends!
LEVEL UP is hitting the ground running with a workshop from our own Amanda Tom that will take place on Monday, January 18th from 6-8PM in EV 11.425!
This workshop is a beginner’s introduction to Unity, and will be a basic crash course to create a simple 2D platform game. We will be coding in C#, and familiarizing ourselves with the basics of Unity’s interface.
IN THIS WORKSHOP, YOU WILL LEARN TO:
- Familiarize yourself with the Unity interface, and the scripting logic
- Create a simple game with basic character controls, object collisions and physics, score keeping, and start and end screens.
- We’ll also show you how you can build your games so that others can play them online!
No coding experience necessary! Some familiarity with Unity or programming logic would be helpful.
- Bring a laptop with Unity 5 already installed.
