LEVEL UP! WORKSHOP: Stencyl

TAG’s Level Up! workshop series continues with an exciting Stencyl workshop by Pixelles co-founder Rebecca Cohen Palacios. Rebecca will help you create basic RPG game, while teaching the basics of Stencyl, a simple and visual game making tool. The workshop will take place on Monday, February 16th at the TAG Atelier Project space (TAP). Please don’t forget to register!


MAKE A ZELDA-STYLE RPG WITH STENCYL!

You’ll learn to create a world where your character can walk around, talk to NPCs, collect items, and manage an inventory.
Stencyl is a free, visual game-making tool for both Windows and OSX that literally lets you snap together the building blocks of your game. There’s no coding knowledge or previous experienced needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Download & install Stencyl.

ZV087h8-REBECCA COHEN-PALACIOS is an ex-webdesigner turned game developer. She works at Ubisoft Montreal as an interface developer and also co-founded Pixelles. Pixelles is a non-profit organization which empowers more women to make and change games in Montreal. Rebecca is also dragonborn.
